Furnished room in Birmensdorf (Sep 2025 - June 2026)


I am looking for a flat mate (
women only
) starting 1. September for min. 10 months (extendable to 12 months). Ideal for students or young professionals, who want to live someplace quiet / close to nature, but still want to have easy access to the city. Cheaper health insurance is also a plus:)

Your room (10.7 m2) comes fully furnished and you will get your own bathroom (3 m2). I also have more furnishing items that are not shown in the photos which you can use, like extra lamps, and a monitor. Internet, water, heat, and electricity are all included in the rent.

The apartment itself (100 m2) consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and a large balcony. You and I each get a bedroom and a bathroom, the third bedroom is occasionally used by my mom, when she comes to Switzerland for work purposes. She will share my bathroom with me. The laundry room is shared and each apartment is assigned a specific day, so laundry can only be done once a week.

I’m 21 yrs old, American-Chinese, and spent all my school years around Zurich. I speak English, German, Swiss German, Spanish, French, and Mandarin. I am currently taking a year-long break from my studies at UZH to work. I love knitting, crochet, sewing, and baking. Other hobbies include cooking, baking sweet treats, Pilates, going to see operas, and playing Wii Just Dance.

I hope for mutual empathy and warm energy. I want us to respect each other’s boundaries and need for “quiet/alone time”, but I also wish for us to spend time together (could be going for a drink, watching a movie, eating meals, etc.)
Also, as you may have noticed, I have a Japanese style dining room table. Therefore it would be helpful if you are comfortable sitting on the floor.
