Description

Dear spontaneous shortterm room-seeker,
If you need a space and room in April-May in Basel, this is for you!
As I am heading to Bali for a month, I would like to subrent my room in a 3-shared flat with Richard (26, out of the Netherlands), research associate, and me Melina (27, out of Germany), physiotherapist, and Wilmer (24, will also move in in April).
My room has a total of 12m² and is the biggest room in our beautiful flat. Its completely organized with furniture, a bed, a desk, etc- and you could also use all of my bed linen, towels etc.
The newcomer to our flat for this month should be fine with Richard and Wilmer for this month, so I (Melina) would have contact with you first and have a look with Richard and Wilmer if it works for them as well.
We’re looking for a person who enjoys spending time together every now and then, ranging from cooking a Michelin-star meal in our well equipped kitchen to sipping a delicious Apero on our sun drenched balconies. On the other hand, we also like to have some quality-time to ourselves after an intense day at work.
Flat nestled on the 6th floor at Vogesenstrasse 69, our apartment (+90m2) is your ticket to ‘tranquility’ in the family-friendly enclave of St. Johann. Whether you're a foot soldier or a pedal pusher, the bustling heart of both Gross- and Kleinbasel is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Need to zip around town? Fear not, as bus and tram stops are practically at your doorstep. Within a breezy 5-minute bike ride, you'll find yourself at the university grounds, Novartis campus, university hospital, Biozentrum, and FNHW—not to mention a smorgasbord of sporty spots like gyms, pools, and dance studios. The Rhine's refreshing embrace and the airport's close proximity are just the cherries on top. For your shopping and snacking needs, Migros and Denner are mere steps away, and a variety of restaurants stand ready to satisfy those late-night cravings. Step into our roomy living area, complete with a dining table and a cozy nook, and stroll right onto the large east-facing balcony. It is perfect for morning yoga under the sun or evening BBQs. Whip up your culinary masterpieces in the kitchen, which also opens to the balcony and comes fully loaded with a dishwasher and washing machine. After a busy day, unwind in the bathroom featuring a bath and shower combo. The hallway is surprisingly spacious for a shared apartment and even houses a second fridge. Downstairs, you can tuck your bike away in the cellar, where you'll also discover some bonus storage space for all your treasures. Room This mid-sized room, clocking in at around 12.5m², is a bright delight when the sun beams through both windows. The pièce de résistance? Your very own entrance to the west-facing balcony, perfect for soaking up those final golden rays of the day. While the room comes unfurnished, a friendly chat with our charming former roommate might just score you some leftover treasures. All this for just 725 CHF a month, with additional costs included. If we have piqued your interest, please reach out to us! If you could imagine that your everyday life could fit well into our flat, just write to me (Melina) using the contact form, then you are welcome to come by to view the flat.
If you are still planning to come here for April, we can of course also do a room tour via Facetime and virtually chat to get to know each other better. We’re looking forward to it!
Tschüss and Groetjes, Melina and Richard & Wilmer
