Wir, Jaap (34), Iva (22), Alex (24) und Alessandro (31) wohnen zusammen in einem grossen Haus nahe bei Basel über der Grenze in Frankreich ( inNeuweiler). Wir sind vielseitig interessierte Menschen, bei uns wird gerne Musik gemacht, gewerkelt, Sauerteigbrot gebacken, spaziert, gemalt, gekocht, gelesen, gechillt und vieles mehr. Wir wohnen sehr gerne zusammen und ein bewusstes Zusammenleben und zusammen Sorgen fürs Haus ist uns wichtig. Am öftesten treffen wir bei gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten, gemütlichen Momenten im Wohnzimmer oder spontanen gemeinsamen Aktionen aufeinander. Einige von uns sind am Studieren, andere mehr oder weniger fest im Berufsleben. Da einige von uns nicht so gut Deutsch sprechen, wird bei uns oft Englisch gesprochen.

Wir haben viele Gemeinschaftsräume. Ein Dachstock dient als Gästezimmer und anderes, dann gibt’s es noch einen Musik- und Arbeitsraum, ein Wohnzimmer, ein Esszimmer, einen Garten, zwei Garagen und eine Werkstatt.

Wir haben zwei freie Zimmer. Eines ab sofort oder nach Absprache. Das andere ab Neujahr.

Das schon erhältliche Zimmer hat Morgensonne und steht unter einem Apfelbaum. Da der Raum früher mal geteilt war, hat er eine ca. 1 m breite Wand, die wie eine kleine Raumtrennung wirkt, die für eine gemütliche Ecke oder auch mit einem Vorhang als Abstellraum gebraucht werden kann … Wir bezahlen alle gleich viel Miete. Die Miete beträgt 480 €. Das Zimmer ist im zweiten Stock, deshalb hat man ein wenig Aussicht.

Das Zimmer, welches ab dem neuen Jahr frei ist, ist auch im zweiten Stock und nach Morgensonne ausgerichtet. Es hat zwei Fenster und ist etwas grösser. Auch wie das andere Zimmer hat es einen schönen Holzboden. Die Miete hier ist, wie schon erwähnt, 480 €.


Wichtig: Neuwiller liegt direkt hinter der Grenze zu Allschwil, sprich, in Frankreich. (Aber keine Angst, du musst nicht unbedingt emigrieren oder sonst etwas Aufwändiges machen, um hier wohnen zu können.)

Es ist von Basel Zentrum etwa sieben Kilometer entfernt (20-30 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad). Das Dorf ist nicht an den ÖV angeschlossen, zur nächsten Busstation sind es 30 Fussminuten. Alternativ kann man auch per Anhalter nach Allschwil, das funktioniert gut.

We – Jaap (34), Iva (21), Alex (23) and Alessandro (31) – live together in a big house near Basel over the border in France (Neuwiller) and are looking for a new housemate. We are a group of people with many interests: we make music, do crafts and DIY projects, bake sourdough bread, go for walks, draw, cook, read, chill and much more.

We live together and conscious co-living, honest communication and shared responsibility for the house are very important to us. We most often meet during shared meals, cozy moments in the living room, or spontaneous joint activities. Some of us are students, others are more or less firmly established in working life.

The house has plenty of shared spaces, including an attic that is used as a guest room and for other purposes, a music and work room, a living room, a dining room, a garden, two garages, and a workshop.  

We have two rooms available. One is available immediately or by arrangement. the other one from New Year’s Day onwards.

The room that’s already available gets morning sun and is situated under an apple tree. As the room used to be divided, it has a wall about 1 m wide that acts as a small partition; this can be used to create a cosy corner or, with a curtain, as a storage space … We all pay the same amount of rent. The rent is €480. The room is on the second floor, so there’s a bit of a view.

The room, which will be available from the New Year, is also on the second floor and faces the morning sun. It has two windows and is slightly larger. Like the other room, it has a lovely wooden floor. As already mentioned, the rent here is €480.


Neuwiller is located directly across the border from Allschwil. That means, in France. ( We are willing to help going trough some questions over what this means legally / Practically - and how flexible this can be.)

Basel city center is about 7 km away and can be reached in 20–30 minutes by bike. The village is not connected to public transport; the nearest bus stop is a 30-minute walk away. Alternatively, hitchhiking to Allschwil works quite well.
