My name is Tugsad and I’m a PhD researcher at UZH. I am an open-minded and friendly person who is looking for a new flat mate who wants to live in a ‘home’ rather than just a WG. My current flat mate is travelling for three months and then he will leave the flat for good. While he is on vacation, you will be staying in the smaller room (12 sq meters) and when he’s gone for good, you can move into his room, which is bigger (18 sq meters).

The current smaller room is equipped with a wall-mounted wardrobe that has a lot of storage space, as well as a desk with 3 drawers and an office chair. However, you will have to bring/buy the rest of the items you might need (e.g., bed, mattress, carpet, etc.). The kitchen is quite spacious and already equipped with everything that is necessary (table, chairs, kitchenware, etc.). We will not have a common space in the house except the kitchen until the bigger room is free and you decide to move there. Then we can turn the remaining room into a living room or whatever we agree on we might need. We also have a nice bathroom with a bathtub and an amazing garden in which we can grow our own stuff. So, if you’re also into gardening or just enjoy spending time in the garden, this flat is just for you.

The building is more on the traditional Swiss house side, but it is very well kept in condition. We will share one washing machine in the cellar with our only neighbor upstairs. We have an amazing location in Oerlikon, where it is very quiet but also very central (Trams 9/7-10/14; Oerlikon Hb only around 700 meters; and some bus lines as well). It is only 3-4 kms away to the Uni/ETH central buildings and the city center. Many different grocery stores are also nearby (Coop, Denner, ALDI, Lidl, Migros, etc.) as well as many restaurants and bars.

And now the important part: who am I and who am I looking for. I would love to have someone who I can be friends with as well. I am an organized, clean, and (mostly) calm person who is looking for someone in similar traits. Saying that, our flat is definitely not a party flat and should not feel like we live in a hotel room. So, if you care about cleanliness and coziness as much as I do, this is a big plus. I also would like to spend time with you in the kitchen or somewhere else and do things together like having a nice chat, playing games, or watching a movie, etc. I also really enjoy cooking, so someone with some cooking skills would be great to eat together as well. We can also do activities together outside like going to the gym, playing tennis, going for a hike or swim, and so on if you’re interested too. With that said, I should note that I respect our private and personal space as well.
