Description
We’re offering a beautifully furnished room in a characterful 4-room apartment, just 450 meters from Zurich Hauptbahnhof—perfectly central yet quietly nestled in a peaceful neighborhood. The room is decorated with high-end furnishings, including a luxurious box-spring bed, Art Nouveau lamps from the 1910s, a Biedermeier walnut table from the 1870s, and an elegant chandelier from the 1930s. Antique mirrors and charming wooden paneling create an atmosphere full of character, while the large windows flood the space with natural light. A spacious wardrobe provides ample storage, and the room’s thoughtful design makes it both welcoming and inspiring.
The apartment itself is generous and well maintained, with a fully equipped shared kitchen and a warm, inviting common atmosphere. It is home to three professionals: Jana from Prague, a postdoctoral researcher in Philosophy and Ethics of Technology and AI; Tom from Berlin, also a postdoctoral researcher, specializing in Botany and a seasoned traveler with stories from all around the world; and Tuba from Germany, an architect and teaching assistant at the university. All of us are in our mid-thirties to mid-forties, creating a balanced and mature living environment that combines intellectual exchange with moments of relaxation.
We are looking for a new flatmate who is mature, independent, and brings life experience to our home. If you appreciate a space where stimulating conversations flow naturally, but where respect for privacy and peaceful coexistence is equally important, you will feel at ease here. Interests in culture, politics, arts, literature, sustainability, or travel would be especially welcome. Our home is more than just a flat—it is a place where meaningful encounters, thoughtful discussions, and shared inspiration are part of everyday life.
In addition to the large room described above, we also have a second space currently available: a smaller
satellite room
(room number four), which has its own direct entry. To reach the shared common rooms, you simply pass via the stairway of the building. Both options offer the same access to the shared facilities and the community spirit of the apartment. The smaller satellite room is available for CHF 1,050 per month, while the large furnished room is available for CHF 1,340.
For the purposes of the listing, the price of
CHF 1,195
is set as an
indicative midpoint
between the two available options.
Would you like me to also
rephrase that last line
into something softer/warmer (less “technical”), e.g. “In the ad, the price is listed at CHF 1,195, which simply reflects the midpoint of the two available rooms”?
