We’re two biology PhD students (28 and 29, from Switzerland) looking for new roommates to join our shared flat. We enjoy running, climbing, tennis, the gym, going to the movies, and spending relaxed summer evenings by the lake. Whenever our PhD schedules allow, we love cooking dinner together – but we also appreciate quiet evenings and respect each other’s personal space.
Since two of our flatmates have recently moved out, we’re now looking for friendly, open-minded people to share our home with.


About the room:

The room we are renting out is a little over 15 square-meters in size and comes with the option of buying the existing furniture (250.- for wardrobe, cupboards, nightstands and bed, or a combination of these). The room is bright with two big windows.


About the flat:

\- Two floors with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms – one with a shower
\- Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher
\- Common room
\- Small balcony
\- Garden area for outdoor meals in the summer
\- Cellar space (perfect for a bike)
\- Washing machine shared with just one other flat – no tricky schedules for washing slots!


Location and connections:

\- Coop, Migros and Denner within 5 minutes on foot
\- Excellent public transport links: Glattbrugg station (8 minutes) and Opfikon station (5 minutes) with S-Bahn trains to Zürich main station every 15 minutes
\- Direct tram line towards Oerlikon, Irchel, ETH, University Zürich and University Hospital.
\- Close to the airport (great for Sunday shopping!)
\- Great jogging tracks across fields and along the river
