Description
Salut!
I'm looking for my next flatmate as my current one moves out looking for jobs. You would share the flat with me alone. The flat has 3 rooms: yours (biggest), mine (smallest) + a large living room with a balcony which also has a bed in case we have guests over.
Otherwise we have a long hallway connecting our rooms with the bathroom, kitchen and living room, which we share. The kitchen has a dishwasher. Most kitchenware is mine, but we can share most things, we can discuss that, also depends on what you might want to bring given what is already here.
The flat is 7 min walking distance from Renes station which is well connected to the city center via train (6min) or you can take the metro to EPFL for example (7 min) but also plenty of buses near the flat too, some going to the lake. Biking to EPFL takes 10 min from door-to-door. We have a forest at the end of our street and a shop open on sundays in front of our building. Aldi, Denner (2 min), Aligro are all less than 10 min walking distance. The Migros at Renens is open until 11pm/365days per year.
My ideal flatmate: chill an open minded, doesn't make a mess so we don't need to clean too often :D
I like small talk in the kitchen but once in a while having dinner together is also nice, and why not hang out if it works and we happen to share things in common.
Your room and the flat come with furniture, for which you will need to pay 710 CHF. This will include your own furniture (double bed or single bed - your choice which we move into the guestroom) + table + chair + 3 small cabinets and a coat hanger. Included in the 710 CHF, you will co-own with me the rest of the furniture in the flat. We have a little sofa in the living room, it's just not in the pictures. I'm generally leaning to leave things as they are but happy to buy more furniture or redecorate if we both agree. I would like to make the house feel like home for both os us. I like plants, but currently i have only 1 (planning to grow spices on the balcony) so feel free to bring more.
There is a bike garage, but it's often overcrowded, luckily our basement can fit 2 bikes, it takes 2 min to get the bike out of the building but i'd say it's fine.
You can opt to buy my flatmates bike for a reasonable price, like 75 CHF if you like it.
There's no room to store the furniture in the basement (we have very limited storage space), so if you don't like the furniture of your room you will not be able to store it here, you will need to make arrangements for it or sell it.
If you move out before me, you can get most of the cost of the furniture refunded before you leave (to be disscused). If i decide to move out before you, everything will be up to you of course, I ask however, that you agree to refund my share of furniture for my room + shared before i move out, which is 750 CHF and get it from the next flatmate or by you in case you want to take the whole flat over.
The deposit is currently 2313 CHF per person, but by the end of the year we should get an insurance in place to pay around 90-140 CHF/per year/per person to replace the need to have this.
The internet for December+January will cost 36 CHF/person/month after which i would like to switch to galaxus as a provider, which has an offer that starts at 13.5 chf/month/person. We can discuss this, i can also live without wifi just with my phone.
We split the rest of the costs 50/50. I also don't mind sharing food as long as it is fair, but up to you.
Your room cost 936 CHF, only the rent. The utilities cost about 100-200 CHF per person/month but i am not entirely sure how much to be fair, so 200 is probably really the maximum during winter months.
The laundry is shared in the building and there's tumblers for drying downstairs (no drying room). I dry my shirts in the living room (we have 2 drying racks) or on the balcony in good weather.
To myself: I'm a 28y old guy doing a PhD, originally from eastern europe but living in CH for 5 years now. I prefer english but i can also speak a bit of german. No french yet though. Generally, i work a lot or i'm out, so i tend to come home late. You will rarely see me leave the house before 9am. I never shower in the morning if that matters.
In line with being a nightowl, i might take a shower late after midnight but trying to keep the volume low generally. I don't cook very often but it can vary especially on the weekends.
I have friends visiting me about once a month during summer and more rarely during the year. I like to also invite my friends over for boardgames and raclette every now and then - for which you are welcome to join.
Cheers
